In September, we had the pleasure of presenting the results of our research on changes in the surface of the temporomandibular joint at the jubilee conference of the Polish Anthropological Society. We invite you to read the abstract of the presentation.
In March, we presented the first results of our research at the conference of the American Association of Biological Anthropologists (AABA) in Baltimore.
Using color filters in the MeshLab software, we were able to precisely measure the surface area of the temporomandibular joint on the mandibular condyle in three dimensions.
The proposed approach may also be useful for analyzing other articular surfaces.
